Build a collaboration ecosystem
Communities thrive on positive interaction. We’ve built CoCreateX.com as a center of gratitude to multiply those interactions. We’ve gotten such great feedback on the ecosystem we’ve created that we decided to develop it into a product for others.
We have a vision for an ecosystem of communities where everyone can participate in and enjoy the offerings of many different groups. We call this ecosystem the Shared Data Platform, or “SDP”. Within the SDP, each instance can choose to share data and posts globally to reach a broader audience and build meaningful interdisciplinary relationships. Example Private Label instances that we have created so far include:
If you’d like to build a collaborative ecosystem for your own company, community, or group, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for a quote.
Securely log your inventions
*This product is currently in beta testing. The primary purpose of the beta test is to obtain feedback on software performance and the identification of defects. CoCreateX does not grant any warranties, express or implied, as to the suitability or usability of the application, its software, or any of its content. User is advised to safeguard important data, to use caution, and not to rely in any way on the correct functioning or performance of the software and/or accompanying materials.
What is it?
A blockchain is a digital ledger that chronologically logs transactions or the transmission of data. The most well-known application of blockchain technology is the tracking of cryptocurrency (e.g. Bitcoin) transactions, but the same technological foundation is useful for other secure database applications as well, especially those that require indisputable attribution of ownership. The CoCreateX Blockchain started as an experiment with the goal of empowering people share their ideas and collaborate freely, without the fear of getting ideas stolen. While it’s still being developed, we’ve decided to begin beta testing with the CoCreateX Community.
Why would I use it?
In order to maintain the right to patent your invention, it is important to establish it as your own and keep it confidential. CoCreateX enables you to email your invention to the CoCreateX Blockchain and receive a unique “hash,” for the purpose of establishing your date of authorship. Then, when you’re ready to confidentially share your idea with another person, you can enter into a a confidentiality agreement with the receiving party and cite the hash of the invention that you wish to share. You can cite a hash or hashes of content you wish to share, or for more security the hash or hashes of content that you chose not to share.
Have an idea you’d like written into a personal digital inventor’s notebook? Perhaps you have a lunch with a friend of a friend tomorrow and you want to speak freely with her about your latest invention idea. You know she works on solving similar problems and you’re concerned that if you reveal too much, it could cause all sorts of headaches down the road. Instead of completely avoiding the subject of your new idea, you can log what you’ve come up with before your meeting, and have a more productive discussion. Simply email your napkin sketch, outline, or engineering drawing to email@example.com.
How do I try it out?
- Email firstname.lastname@example.org with an attachment (.png, .jpg, .pdf, .txt) that contains whatever it is you’d like entered into the blockchain, and the Subject as the scope of your agreement. Your document will not become publicly readable, as the entry is encrypted and hashed, and your email is deleted immediately. You will receive two emails. The first will verify that your blockchain has been successfully hashed. The second will include a confidential disclosure agreement (CDA) pdf with your hash and the scope of your invention.
- Write down your hash in a safe place. If your email was received and your attachment was written in, you’ll receive an email with the Subject being your 64 character hash, or encryption signature, corresponding to the exact data makeup of your specific attachment. Your hash will be a string of numbers and letters, something like, c9f868985622414712265605aea9e22df034895863db53ccee0c2f87e709b3cb.
- Verify that your unchanged document is in the blockchain. By forwarding your blockchain success email with the original attachment to email@example.com you can see and demonstrate that your exact document was entered into the blockchain previously. If your document has changed in ANY WAY, your verification will fail. If your email is deleted, all you need to verify your blockchain transaction is the ORIGINAL file (.png, .jpg, .pdf, or .txt) and your unique 64 character hash. Just email blockCHECK@cocreatex.com with the file attached, and the subject, “Fwd: <your_hash>”.
